Moreover, Canada's National Park system is closely tied to the railway, since the railway opened up many parts of Canada. Visit this site for good information on recreation, points of interest, and historic areas.

	LakeLouise.com This site is operated by a reservation system company, meaning you'll find plenty of information about places to stay in Lake Louise and the Banff area.
	Discover Lake Louise This site offers some good quick information on drives, walks, day hikes, and other recreational opportunities in Banff and Lake Louise. The site also offers links to companies offering eco-tours.
	Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise hotel dominates the Lake Louise area through its sheer size and location directly on the shore of Lake Louise. This former CPR hotel is one of the reasons Lake Louise has become the destination it is.
	Lake Louise Inn The Lake Louise Inn is located just the other side of the CPR mainline from the Station and is just a few minutes by car.
	The Post Hotel Aside from the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, this hotel is the premier place to stay while in Lake Louise. It offers a very cozy atmosphere. Located right on the banks of the Pipestone River, it is a very popular place to stay--and for good reason.

	Paradise Lodge & Bungalows If rustic and quaint are what you're after, this is the place for you! Don't get fooled by the words rustic and quaint, though. They don't mean "roughing it." This hotel is a great place to stay. We like visiting the site just for the great photos on the front page.
	Mountaineer Lodge Affordable and well-appointed, that's what you'll find on the front page of this accommodation site. Visit the photo gallery, where you'll be asked the question, "when's the last time you vacationed in a postcard?" We couldn't agree more about Lake Louise.
